Advanced Laptop Diagnostics* (this includes all-in-one desktops)

Evaluation of system where the unit has to be disassembled to complete the diagnostics or service. Examples would include motherboard replacement, screen replacement, dc jack repair, etc.
** Free diagnostics is only for Grand Rapids PC Repair customers. If the equipment is deemed viable and customer decides to not have the work done then a diagnostic fee of $45 to $80 will ensue..

Computer Cleanup/Virus Removal
$89 to $99*
At CPCR it’s $100 to $125 to clean up a computer from all infections, malware and spyware. If it’s too infected to clean, we will reload Windows and the price does not change, all you will pay is $100.
New PC setup

When you purchase a new computer with Windows 10 there are many settings that are not wanted. Windows 10 will update and restart your PC without your permission. This can be a major inconvenience if you’re in the middle of something.
Windows 10 is also loaded with 120 telemetry points where Microsoft gathers all your information, some personal. Then there are also many apps that run all the time. I will remove or turn off all unwanted settings. For Windows update, Microsoft took away the users option to stop updates from downloading, installing and restarting your computer, upon request, I can fix this so Windows will inform you of updates but not download or install until you decide.
Hard Drive Data Recovery

In most cases data can be recovered from broken hard drives and broken portable drives. This service is also usually needed when upgrading your operating system or on a Windows reload from a damaged system due to viruses.
Windows Install/Reload

The difference between Geeks Squad and CPCR is Geeks will charge extra to back up the data from an old hard drive, with CPCR Repair it’s included.
Sometimes when a computer gets infected, you need to reload the operating system,Windows. If you have a hard drive that went bad, then you will need to have Windows installed on the new drive. No matter the cause, we will install Windows for $125 with no additional charges. If you have data on your old hard drive we will back it up and restore in on the new operating system/Windows for no additional charge.
Desktop Hardware Services
Memory Installation
FREE to $65
Purchase memory from GRPC and get it installed free of charge. Milwaukee PC will charge you if it takes more than 5 minutes to install.
Hardware Installation
$19.99 – $125*
Installation and testing of new hardware components, such as a video card, hard drive, motherboard, psu, etc.
*if installing a new hard drive for the operating system then data recovery charges apply as well

LCD Screen Replacement
$60 to $99.00 + cost of screen (screens average $45 to $150)
Exact pricing varies based on the laptop model but labor does not go over $125.00. Laptop screens start as low as $45 and go up, typically they are around $49.00 but can be much higher. Labor depends on how long it takes, some are easy and quick and some are very involved. For exact pricing you will need to call with the model number.
Hard Drive Replacement
$50 to $99
Hard drive replacement usually involves re-installing Windows which will cost $125 plus the price of the hard drive. I do not mark up the cost of the hard drive, I usually buy them from Best Buy as their prices are usually cheaper than my supplier.
Memory/battery Installation
FREE to $99
DC Power Jack Replacement
$65 to $99.00 (plus parts, usually $5 to $20)
Exact pricing varies based on model and difficulty of installation. Typical installation is $99.00 plus parts. In most cases the price of the power jack is less that $15.00.

Data backup/recovery may incur additional charges.
Apple/Mac computers have an additional fee.
Disassembly of laptops and AIO’S (all in one’s) to access the drive is a $15-25 additional charge.
